I once overheard a conversation between two friends where one was telling the other that buying a sleeveless dress was a bad idea, especially in the winter. The other exclaimed, “yeah, and what if you hate your arms!” This is where I jumped in. The three of us began chatting like old friends. I told them both that you could wear a sleeveless dress in warmer and cooler months with just a few style edits. And if you hate your arms, you can still buy the sleeveless dress, just layer it with a turtleneck underneath, a blazer, denim jacket or even an oxford shirt.
I restyled a chic Rachel Roy Scarf Print Shift Dress that I grabbed on major sale and the dress has pockets!!!
Winter and early spring temperatures, in some parts of the country top out at sunny and 72 degrees which is perfect for bare arms and over the knee boots.
When temps drop under 72 and my arms needed a layer, I tossed in a black turtleneck, tights and black booties instead of the tall boots. I also swapped accessories.
