It’s been determined that wearing white post Labor Day is perfectly posh! The hue is wearable during any season, especially at a fall outdoor garden party.
I recently styled this look for my friend Christina who was attending the Druid City Garden Project Garden Party– a fantastic fundraising event that partners local farmers with local restaurants to create fresh seasonal blends of mind-blowing mini meals. While the invitation didn’t require specific outfit attire, I always recommend my clients use any event to amp up their personal style.
The Starting Point– Christina’s dress was the foundational piece. At first look, I knew it needed an accent color that popped. Emerald green is trending this Fall and it helps that I love the color+ green is a delightful celebration of the night’s theme! I usually opt for a bold statement necklace but since the dress is designed with strategically positioned tan meshed panels, I didn’t want to distract the eye away from the asymmetrical detail.
Accessorizing- Gem green chandelier earrings felt more appropriate than a chunky necklace. Stacking a few simple hand-painted textured bangles on one arm, balanced out the pave vintage statement ring on the opposite hand. You’ll notice below how the accessory bangles synergized with Christina’s animal print kitten heels. All the of the accessories were already in Christina’s wardrobe.
The Finish- That little lush green handbag was Christina’s well-kept hush-hush that she was smart to keep hidden during our style session at her home. There was no doubt I would’ve helped myself to a take- home happy.
The night was a huge success and so was Christina’s chic outfit. She was comfortable, confident, and simply elegant.
