Each week, on my Nothing2Wear Facebook Page, we show you a new color combination. It’s just a way to give you more styling ideas and to encourage you to pair together colors you never have before. This time, I decided to show you another way to style color by adding just a pop of it to your ensemble. Adding a pop of color can be accomplished in a myriad of ways. You can add a pop of color with any accessory; a scarf, head wrap, pashmina, a bag, shoes, or even jewelry. Here are a few ideas:
Idea 1: Liven up a monochrome dress with color by styling a bag or belt. I accented this black dress with a pop of fresh spring green and cognac. This dress wasn’t sold with the belt but I accessorize it anyway. Adding the belt gave me the opportunity to add the cuff bracelet, necklace and wedges in similar colors. Accessorizing in similar hues ties the entire look together.
I’ve had this suede clutch for many years. It once had a bamboo handle that is now long gone. I much prefer it as a clutch anyway.
Idea 2: Another way to add color if your outfit is monochrome, is to add earrings in another fresh hue. These tangerine earrings beautifully accent the green dress.
