On a day like today, wearing something patriotic is appropriate. This outfit though was an accident. As usual, I was running around my room in a bra and undies
with just minutes to spare before it was time to leave. The T.J. Maxx cobalt blue top was on my bed in plain view and the trousers popped into my head. I thought “RED!” Ruby red is beautiful with cobalt blue.
Frankly speaking, any shade of blue will do with red. I chose cobalt blue because it’s a little more dramatic and it’s bolder. Navy, sky blue, and indigo all pair beautifully with red. Rather than wear something everyday expected though, take a chance and try on something bold and braver.
Your accessories could also use a bravery boost. A dramatic Betsy Pittard statement necklace in a darker expresso hue moves this look into Fall. Stacking your bangles adds another element of glam. When stacking your bangles, there’s a bit of a science to it. There must be balance. Add bangles of different finishes. Gold and wooden bangles give you texture and staggering them gives your look differing elevation.
Style Evolution: This look can take on another personality and become something a little more professional for a meeting or something work related. Look 2 is achieved by adding a Zara blazer. That’s it. One piece gives you yet another look and another way to wear this outfit.
