Maxi dresses are some of the most versatile pieces out there. Not only can you style them multiple ways but they can also be worn from one season to the next, again, depending on how they’re styled. In summer months, they can be worn solo. In cooler months, they can be layered with a top, sweater, jacket or blazer on top.
I recently learned about Tees by Tina. They are more than just clothes, there’s technology sewn in too. Each piece is seamless and the fabric has weaved in memory, kinda like that memory foam in your couch or pillow. It fits you and your curves. It hugs you but not in an uncomfortable way. More to come from the Tees by Tina Atlanta showroom later this month in a Nothing2Wear video special.
Let’s talk about wearing stripes. The print has been a fashion must-have this year and it’s something that will definitely repeat itself in the fashion world. I often hear people talk about the “stripe myth.” That little myth that says certain people shouldn’t wear stripes. That has an ounce of truth but the bigger truth lined with stripes is that most anyone can wear them. What you have to be careful of, is the stripe’s direction, the size and how far apart they are spaced. Smaller, micro stripes are slenderizing on the body and I think it’s worth a try on any body type or shape.
Here are a few Nothing2Wear transitional style ideas. These are each great weekend looks too.
LOOK 1: Solo with layered statement accessories.
One necklace or two. Either works but make sure you add a color pop.
LOOK 2: Layered with an asymmetrical top in a bold hue. Showing some skin by exposing one of the shoulders is chic.
LOOK 3: Try another color pop. Mustard yellow is a hot Fall hue. Swap out the violet necklace for turquoise
Accessorize: Feel free to stack up on arm candy in several different colors that tie the look together.
